The God of War presents himself as a mean, no funny business gym teacher, and lucky you, you're right in the middle of his class. Since the Arena of War is lost to the Time Fog, you're stuck doing drills at Avenger's Stadium. Expect to be put through sword fighting, take off and landing, shield practice, and of course the more mundane running laps and doing push ups. Magic is only to be used for shield practice, and anyone causing mischief will have to deal with Ares himself.

Doesn't mean you can't try, it just means it won't end well for you.

Avengers Assemble!

Octobots are attacking a lab space in downtown. Their target: a new chemical compound that is apparently more efficient in powering the wriggly bastards. Get to your assigned teams and get out there before they can make off with that compound, or the octopi will be having the city for dinner tonight!

And Director Fury doesn't give a damn if you don't like your teammates; work it out or don't, just get the job done.

Class is in session, and considering it's Professor Pym's class, it's probably going to blow up in a few minutes. It might be best to make sure your homework is finished and handed in before your lab mate goes for the chemical cabinet, because there's a high chance it'll be on fire otherwise. While your at it, be careful what you touch in the lab; you might end up having an electrifying experience.

...this lab has no safety precautions whatsoever, does it?

Sucks to be you; looks like you just got caught getting into things you shouldn't have been getting into, and the All Father himself found out about it. Now you're stuck in detention in the Timeless Archives, whittling away at a report that no superhero deserves to be put through. It doesn't look like Odin stuck around to make sure you finish it, though; is it worth risking the All Father's ire just to get a few hours on the dance floor at Club A?

Stopping in mid taunt Elizabeth stops, as well as Thanatos, still holding an ocotobot in its hands, as it pulls its head out from devouring it, both with a confused look.

"But were we not told to stop these things? Will not showing that we have the spirit to not only stop them, but consume their souls break their spirits? Are they not the enemy of all women?! I.... Am confused."

[ If Fury forces them on detention cleanup duty, Yu will vouch that it was 100% his idea. Solo was just dumb enough to listen to him, that was all. ]

[ Yu took a few steps back as water erupted from the hydrant, soaking him and the swarm of octobots. This was a crazy plan, seeing as he was putting himself right in the line of fire as well. Could he withstand the lightning he generated? Only one way to find out, right? ]

[ His hand charged as he grabbed onto the feel of his magic, calling out another Zio spell. Only instead of striking any one of the octobots, he aimed it at the geyser instead, electrifying the water that was drenching the area. Unfortunately, he didn't really get to enjoy the sight of the octobots around him frying as the charge did in fact hit him as well, and next thing he knew he was on his back in a puddle, still twitching slightly as he stared up at the sky. ]

[ Yu couldn't help but actually smile again as for a moment, Han looked confused at what he was getting at. Seriously, with his accent, he forgot? At least he didn't randomly start talking in Japanese like he used to; that had been difficult when starting conversations. ]

There is; hot springs are near volcanoes, so there's sulfur in the water. You come out of it smelling like rotten eggs and need to wash yourself off, but it's very relaxing.

[ He paused a moment, considering... ]

...do you think if someone told Stark it would get him more girls, he'd find a way to simulate one?

Yu let out an awkward noise at that. Oh no, did she think...?

"I-I'm sure these weren't designed for... that purpose..." he managed to get out, feeling his face getting hotter by the second. Elizabeth no. Elizabeth why. "Besides, we were just supposed to destroy them. Not everything around them too."

"They were designed for nefarious purposes, were they not? And is the Kool Aid Man not one of the heroes of this world?"

With that Thanatos shrugs and rips the bot it was holding in half before Elizabeth shrugs, "Still, perhaps you should rest. I will avoid destroying this place but he who perpetrated this should be found. You can catch your breath, and I will show him fear, I will show him pain, then he will die."

With that she smiles far too cheerfully for what she said and checks her persona compendium before turning.

I'd need to find their weak point for easier access. Otherwise, they'll just explode. Haven't much experience in the way of robots.

[Damn old academy could have at least helped with that...]

He is not very smart if he left something we can use. But he also gave them a stupid name.

[It's just really hard to be intimidated by someone who calls himself 'Doctor Octopus.' You'd think a supposed super-genius could at least come up with some sort of moniker with actual weight to it.

Overall it's just a shame these things don't have brains. This would be much easier if they could control them, even for a little bit.]

[Hei needed to find a way to test out the new wire-system he received from Fury. The idea was to give him greater mobility while traveling, and less holes in walls. Seemed to be working just fine as he kept traveling between the school buildings, not even touching the ground. The sheer speed though was something that did catch him a bit off guard. Needed a few more tweaks.

Though when he saw the roof to Stark Tower open, alarms raised in his head. Last he checked, Stark wasn't in, and the odds of it being some trouble seemed high. Zipping off another building, he used the excess speed to land near the water, stumbling a bit before catching himself.]

I swear that's gonna make me sick one day... [He looks around, ready to ask JARVIS before he saw something in the water. Someone was hiding. He held up a single finger, electricity sparking. Well, they couldn't hear him anyway under all that water anyway.

He simply touched the edge, letting out a small, tiny shock into the water to get the attention of the person.]

[Hei hadn't bothered to correct her, though mostly because he didn't recognize it. While he was trained to fight for a long time in many things, there were limits to what one man could achieve, especially when constantly sent out on missions back then. Which was why he had a sword as well, despite favoring knives. Could learn some stuff anyway.

He smiled at his sparring partner.]

Very well. Show me your moves then!

And I was hoping to get back to the kitchen too.

[Just when he learned of a new recipe from someone at Club A. Naturally, something like this would happen. And of all things, robots. He really was not meant to tackle on robots.

He noticed Hibiki taking charge, just as Hei was putting on his mask and taking out his knives.]

I trust you have a plan then?

Something resembling one, at least. [He flashes Hei a smile.]

Ideally, cut them off or force them through a choke point. Of course, they might not care about collateral damage much, but... Well, provided we're not taken by surprise by sudden reinforcements, we should be able to keep them contained anyway.

[Hibiki follows his gaze, wincing sympathetically for that other student before turning back to Yu.]

Yeah... In the training I had before, we just picked something and stuck with it. To be honest, knowing how to counter others seems more productive than... [He grimaces a little at the sword in his hand.]

You know, that might actually be a wise decision...

[Plus maybe a bag made of the same material.]

I can work with a little big, though. You wouldn't mind?

[ Yu nodded in understanding. ]

If you want... we could train with your weapon of choice? After class.

[ Because of Ares saw them going against his orders...? Yeah, no. ]

... Definitely after class.

[Let's maybe not piss off Ares. He shifts a little and hefts up the sword again.]

Until then, I'll just have to make do here.

HEI YOU ARE AN ASS.

Yu's breath escaped from him in a large bubble that burst out on the surface. It was amazing how hard it was to swim when your limbs were seizing from electrified water. Thankfully he wasn't as affected as a normal person would be because of his powers, and he was able to pull himself back to the surface. He struggled for air for a moment, coughing and trying not to gag, before he turned around, looking for who did that.

"...Hei?" he asked once his eyes fell on him, before he frowned at him. Seriously? Really?

"Wait, no--!"

He reached out to try and stop her, but... well, this was Elizabeth. Once she got going, it was near impossible to get her to stop. He could try to do damage control, but maybe it would be better to hang back and hope that Fury would show some mercy?

...yeah, probably not.

[... Well, that hurt. But hey, Hibiki's not going to say no to some help up. He'll gladly take Michiru's hand and grin. He'll reply (initially) in Japanese, since he heard her slip into it before she crashed into him.]

No apologies needed! I guess they really want that chemical. But the bigger they are, the harder they fall, right?

He blinked, making a face as well. Maybe he used more electricity than he thought.

"Ah, so it just you, Yu. Why hide though?"

He would normally assume theft, but thieves don't exactly strip down and use hottubs...Well there was that one time, but the girl using it could teleport.

"...why else...?"

Yu's eyes flicked over to where his clothes were resting on the ground, underwear and all. Wouldn't you try to hide if the roof suddenly opened and you were stark naked?!

Was thinking something along those lines. Just help keep them together, and I'll shock them all from a safe distance. Just don't get too close either. They have a habit of...exploding when I electrocute them.

[And with this many, he had to full blast to ensure they went down.]

All right.

[ He offered him a small smile in encouragement. ]

Why don't you take a few swings at me?

... Actually, I wasn't judging. I was thinking how good of an idea that is...

[There's a reason he stopped wearing his bunny hoodie to this class, after all.]

Where'd you get the suit? I might actually look into getting one myself, at this rate.

Hei's eyes darted towards the clothes, noticing he was stepping on some of it too. Slowly, he kicked it away from him and back safely into its corner.

"Okay, then how the did the roof go up? Or even why considering whose tower this is?"

He didn't mean to be the killjoy, but it's kinda hard to ignore the bizarre situations. That and part of him preferred to stay on Stark's good side for later; gear upgrades never hurt.

"I'm not sure," Yu replied, looking up. "I think there might be a sensor?"
